Edit words and images
You change words by clicking them on your page and typing. You change a photo from the section’s card in the editing panel. Both are drafts until you publish.
Change words
Section titled “Change words”-
Click Edit in Studio in your dashboard. If you are on the wrong page, pick the right one from the page menu, Your pages.
-
Click the words you want to change, right on your page.
-
Type. The words change as you type. The matching box in the editing panel changes with them.
-
Press Enter, or click anywhere else, when you are done.
When you click words on the page, the panel jumps to the box that holds them and marks it. You can type in that box instead if you prefer. The two stay in step.
Text on the page is plain text. Pressing Enter ends the edit instead of adding a new line.
Some things can only be changed in the panel, such as where a button goes. Open the section’s card and use the box there. Words with special styling inside them, like a headline with one highlighted word, work the same way. Click them and the panel jumps to the right box.
Every edit is listed under What’s changed with a note like “Rewrote text in” and the section’s name.
Add or remove an item in a list
Section titled “Add or remove an item in a list”Many sections hold a list: questions, services, steps, photos and so on. The section’s card in the panel has buttons to add and remove them.
-
Open the section’s card in the editing panel.
-
To add one, click the button that starts with Add a, such as Add a question or Add a service. A new empty item appears, ready for your words.
-
To remove one, find it and click the button that starts with Remove this, such as Remove this question.
Change a photo
Section titled “Change a photo”-
Open the section’s card in the editing panel. The photos sit near the bottom of the card, below the text boxes.
-
Click the photo, or click ⇄ Change photo under it.
-
A window called Choose a photo opens. Click the photo you want.
-
The new photo shows on your page at once, and a short note confirms it.
To leave without changing anything, click ✕ Close, or click outside the window.
If a section is a gallery, Add a photo opens the same window. The photo you pick becomes a new item in the gallery.
A photo behind your words
Section titled “A photo behind your words”On a banner with a photo behind the words, the card has a Shade over the photo slider. Move it to change how much shade sits over the photo, until the words are easy to read.
Take a change back
Section titled “Take a change back”Changed your mind? Use Undo at the bottom of the panel, or Take it back next to the change under What’s changed. See Preview, undo and publish.
