Analytics
Analytics shows how many people visit your site, when they come, and where they come from. It counts people without cookies, so your visitors never see a banner because of it.
Analytics is included with Business and Pro. On Starter, you can add it for a monthly price. See Add a feature to your plan for the price.
Read your numbers
Section titled “Read your numbers”Click Analytics in your dashboard menu. Under your site’s name, a line tells you what the numbers cover and when they were last counted.
The page is a stack of boards:
- Today shows how many people have come so far today, in your own time zone. Below it, a bar for each hour shows when they came. The label under the bars names your busiest hour.
- Last 30 days shows a bar for each day. Each bar is the number of people that day. Someone who comes back on another day counts once on each day, so the bars can add up to more than the month total.
- The month shows Distinct people over the last 30 days. Next to it, Pages opened shows how many pages they looked at, and how many pages each person opened on average.
- Where they came from, last 24 hours lists the places your visitors arrived from, as a share of the whole.
- Where, last 24 hours shows the countries your visitors are in.
- Phone or computer shows how visitors were browsing.
The “where” lists show a share of requests, not a count of distinct people. They are a guide to the mix, not a head count.
If a board is missing
Section titled “If a board is missing”- Today is still coming in. Today’s numbers are not in yet. Check back later.
- Day by day starts after the next count. The month total is ready, and the daily bars follow the next time we count.
Numbers are counted on a schedule, not second by second. The line under your site’s name says how fresh they are.
Add Analytics on Starter
Section titled “Add Analytics on Starter”If you are on Starter, the Analytics page shows two cards instead of numbers: Add Analytics and Upgrade to Business.
-
Click Analytics in your dashboard menu.
-
On the Add Analytics card, read the price and the list of what you will see.
-
Read the short summary on the card, then tick I agree to the add-on above and the SayVel service terms. The Add Analytics button stays dim until you tick it.
-
Click Add Analytics. It reads Opening secure checkout, and a payment page opens.
-
Pay on that page. You come back to the Analytics page with a line that says Payment received. Analytics is on. If the page has not caught up, it says Analytics may take a minute to show. It refreshes once by itself.
If you back out of the payment page, you come back to the cards and nothing is charged. If the add-on is not on sale yet, the card says so instead of showing the button.
If you have not chosen a plan yet, the card says The add-on rides a Starter plan, so a plan comes first. Click Choose a plan first to go to Plan and billing.
Cancel the add-on
Section titled “Cancel the add-on”If you added Analytics on Starter, you can stop it.
-
Open Analytics.
-
Under your numbers, click Cancel the add-on.
-
The page then says when it ends: Your add-on ends on a date, and that Analytics stays on until then.
Canceling takes one click with no extra question, so click it only if you mean it.
Your site’s other trackers
Section titled “Your site’s other trackers”The same page lets you connect other tracking tools, such as Google Analytics. See Connect other tracking tools.
