Connect other tracking tools

If you already use another tracking tool, you can connect it to your site without touching any code. You paste an ID from that tool into your Analytics page, and we add it to your site.

The boxes for this are on the Analytics page. You see them when your plan includes Analytics. See Analytics.

The first card is Cloudflare Analytics. It is marked Included and On. It is what the Analytics page itself shows. It needs no code, no cookies and no banner.

The tools are in two groups, and the difference matters to your visitors.

No cookies, no cookie banner. Fathom and Plausible count visits without cookies. Your visitors never see a banner. Your site can run one of the two, not both.

Adds cookies, shows a cookie banner. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity use cookies. If you add any one of these, your visitors see a cookie banner. Each tool loads only after a visitor clicks Accept.

  1. Open Analytics in your dashboard.

  2. Find the box for the tool you want. Under its name, a short line tells you where to find the ID in that tool’s own account.

  3. Paste the ID into the box. These are the formats:

    • Fathom: the Site ID, 4 to 16 letters and numbers. In Fathom, look under Settings, then Sites.
    • Plausible: your domain exactly as you added it in Plausible, like example.com.
    • Google Analytics: the Measurement ID, which looks like G-XXXXXXXXXX.
    • Meta Pixel: the Pixel ID, 15 or 16 digits.
    • Hotjar: the Site ID, 7 digits.
    • Microsoft Clarity: the Project ID, 10 letters and numbers.
  4. Click Save.

  5. Read the message that appears. When the change is accepted, it says your site is rebuilding and the change shows on your live site when it finishes.

If an ID does not look right for that tool, a message says so and nothing is saved. Check the ID and try again.

To disconnect a tool, clear its box and click Save again.

Under each box, a short status line appears once there is an ID:

  • Connected means the tool recognized the ID. Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity use this one.
  • Live on your site means we can see the tool on your live site.
  • Saved. It shows here once your site has republished. means your site has not finished rebuilding yet. Check back in a few minutes.
  • We couldn’t find this ID means the tool did not recognize it. Check the ID and save again.

If the page says it could not load your tracking IDs, reload it to try again.
