Add a section

A page on your site is a stack of sections. Each section is one of our components: a heading and paragraphs, a set of service cards, a gallery, a contact form, and so on. You add one from a short list in the Studio.

Add a section to a page

Click Edit in Studio in your dashboard, and open the page you want to change from Your pages.
In the editing panel, scroll past the last section card to the button that reads Add a section. Click it.
A list opens. It says A new section starts empty at the end of this page, and shows on your page when it has words. Each choice has a name and a line about what it is. Click the one you want.
The new section is added at the end of the page, and its card opens with the first box ready. A note confirms it: Added.
Type your words into the boxes in the card, or click the section on the page and type there. See Edit words and images.
To put the section somewhere else, open its card and use Move up or Move down under On this page.
When you are happy, click Publish. See Preview, undo and publish.

A new section does not show on your live page until it has words. So you can add one, leave it empty, and nothing odd appears for your visitors.

What you can add

The list is grouped. Here is what each choice gives you.

You only see the choices your site can use. Blog posts shows up only once your blog has a published post.

A few choices can appear only once on a page. If your page already has one, that choice is turned off and says This page has one already.

Hide or remove a section

To keep a section but hide it from visitors, turn off its On page switch.
To take it away, open its card and click Remove section under On this page.
A page needs at least one section, so you cannot remove the last one.
